What to Expect

• Initially you will be scheduled for a 40 minute one-on-one Consultation with Dr. Engelbart.   You will be welcomed to our family by Nancy (Front Desk Administrator) and Gayle (Office Manager).  If you and Dr. Engelbart decide to move on to the next step you will be scheduled for the New Patient Exam.
• At the NP Exam visit the doctor will perform a thorough exam based on your individual history and needs.  This visit is followed by another which is called the Report of Findings visit.
• At the ROF visit you will sit down with Dr. Engelbart to review the plan for care she has customized just for you.  You will be given the report and the treatment will begin at this visit.

Not only do we see paients that are in pain, but many who are looking for a better quality of life.  Dr. Engelbart regularly sees patients wanting metabolic and neuro transmitter support as well as help with vertigo, instability and the like.  She is searched out by people suffering form RSD and other neurological conditions. 

Following the consult and examination by Dr. Engelbart the customized plan is implemented to effectively address the goal(s) as quickly and safely as possible.  Patients on a protocal requiring supplementation, nutritional and neuro transmitter support will begin the program at this time.  If additional labs or diagnostics are needed they are ordered.

Dr. Engelbart educates our patients about the need to be proactive and taking personal responsibility for their health.  The progress to be made will be due to the TEAM effort by both the patient and the doctor.

The frequency of the visits will vary during this initial phase.  They will be based on the individual case.  In general, the visit frequency will be at the highest.  The care provided at each visit builds upon the other.  Dr. Engelbart will be using her expertise, evaluating at each visit.  During this phase the doctor strongly suggests that visits be kept, based upon their plan.  We do not want to chase after the cause - the goal is to get ahead of it and stop it - not just the symptom.
